Fibromyalgia Program

Up until a few years ago fibromyalgia was not even considered a medical disease. It fell under the "it's all in your head" category. Thankfully, such things as chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia are now being recognized as serious problems. But most doctors and health care providers have no idea how to treat fibromyalgia. Some have their own theories, such as using guaifenesin or using chiropractic care, but most people who have fibromyalgia do not get better and they only get momentary relief. Using a nutrition program can allow people to help themselves permanently.

Fibromyalgia is a catch all term for constant pain, fatigue, discomfort, achy joints and muscles, headaches, sensitivity to touch and sound, weakness, brain fog and any other strange symptom you could think of. You could have two patients sit next to each other, both with fibromyalgia, and they may not have any of the same symptoms. This is because the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is now used when doctors do not know what is going on with the patient.

So what is fibromyalgia? Is it something you catch? Is it something you are born with? Is it something you have to live with forever? Fibromyalgia is a problem with your body's ability to detoxify. If you look at a normal body you will see a highly functioning liver and detoxifying system. Your cells are kept healthy, your muscles are supple and your joints are free of inflammation. When people develop fibromyalgia they lose the ability to clean their internal system. The cells became filled with toxins. The muscles go into spasm and become very sensitive because of the inability to flush out lactic acid and waste products. Your joints fill with fluid and inflammation which causes all movement to be agonizing. Your brain may not be able to function properly because normal cellular function is altered. Basically your body is filled with waste products that it can not get rid of and these harmful products flood your cells, tissues, and joints causing constant pain.

Fibromyalgia is not something you're born with, and it's not something you catch. Different drugs you've taken through life, traumatic stress, poor nutrition and a genetically faulty detox system all play a part in fibromyalgia. Regardless of the cause the treatment should be relatively the same. You have to get your body back to baseline, it has to find a way to start functioning properly. This is done through nutrition and some periodic body work.

Fibromyalgia Program:

People suffering from fibromyalgia need a drastic overhaul of their daily food intake. Nothing can go into the body that does not have a therapeutic effect. The dietary program must consist primarily of vegetables and fruits. Meat, dairy and grains will not help fibromyalgia. Juicing healthy greens must be done daily and if juicing is not possible smoothies must be made instead. The more vegetables you get into your body the quicker you'll feel better. As the body starts to fill up on healing nutrients the constant inflammation and pain associated with fibromyalgia will decrease. Unsalted beans should also be consumed daily along with a few tablespoons of raw healthy seeds such as sesame, flax and pumpkin.

The second part of the fibromyalgia program is body work, but this is not always necessary. When you drastically change your diet symptoms of fibromyalgia may get worse because your body will definitely start to go through detox. This causes symptoms to get worse. Body work can help these symptoms. Chiropractors, massage therapists, etc should all be utilized to improve muscle and joint pain. Normally people will need some type of body work during the first 3 months of changing the diet.

Some people need additional supplements to enhance their fibromyalgia healing program, things such as high dose fish oil and probiotics. This is why it's always a good idea to work with a health professional who understands nutrition and supplementation. Make sure you find someone who uses nutrition as the primary mode of recovery and not just a bunch of vitamins and supplements.

The key to defeating fibromyalgia is excellent nutrition. It is vital for recovery, and it will not be hard to heal from fibromyalgia when a perfect nutritional strategy is utilized. You just have to feed your body the nutrients it needs to work properly. Juicing is particularly effective to speed up this process. Body work will also help but is not necessary for all people. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue are not things that people need to deal with. They are dynamic problems but they have very simple remedies … feed your body right and you'll get your life back.
