[ad_1]

When you are driving running errands or going to work, you can suddenly be caught in a car accident. These are inconvenient, cost money, can cause injuries, and are something that no one wants to have to deal with. While there are procedures to follow once getting into an accident, there are also things that you should never do once in an accident.

Never admit that it's your fault. For insurance purposes you can get yourself in trouble if you walk around after the accident starting to admit that it's all your fault. Even if it is, you might not want to say anything. Check if others are fine, but do not admit guilty to anyone.

Never leave the scene or run from it. Sometimes you can be scared or afraid about the consequences of an accident. While you might not want to stay, it can cause huge legal problems for you if you run off.

Do not argument or confront an angry person from the other car. You can get yourself seriously injured if someone in the other car is angry with you. Stay in your car and lock the doors if they are getting very angry.

Never assume those in the other car are fine. Sometimes people might need help. Make sure those in your car are fine then ask if the people in the other vehicle are fine.

Never bypass the usual exchange of information that you should go through when getting into an accident. Sometimes you will be pressured to just deal with it personally than involving the insurance companies. Stand your ground and get the information that you need to start filing claims and getting things fixed.

Do not answer questions that you are not comfortable answering even if a police officer is asking you. You do have the right to consult a lawyer if you are unsure about what to say or do not understand.
